BLAZE™ wire is designed with a double layer construction of gamma phase brass on beta phase brass. Consistent with other state of the art gamma brass constructions, the gamma brass layer is discontinuous exposing an adjacent, continuous beta brass layer.
However, the gamma phase brass of the Blaze wire also contains an element of its microstructure that uniquely distinguishes it from the gamma phase brass of other prior art constructions.
The gamma brass of Blaze wire contains beta brass particles that have been precipitated within the gamma brass phase field as well as the beta phase brass in the continuous layer adjacent to the gamma brass particles.
